Difference between Wiki and Documents

Hello!

I am new to Redmine having just installed it at work. We are trying to figure out the difference between the Wiki and Document Modules. Is there any real difference in the end? It seems silly to have both Modules active for a project as they seem to have the exact same functionality?

Hi,

I also wonder what is the difference between wiki and document.

But the above FAQ link only contains difference between document and files not wiki.

Document looks like wiki without history tracking.

Furthermore, this Redmine site dispenses with documents,as well.

Is there any explanation?
