Redmine for non-programming purposes

Redmine seems to have all that I am looking for in relation to project management, but unfortunately my company is not involved in programming (except for me). Is there any documentation on repurposing/reconfiguring Redmine for other industries?

We use Redmine for software development and for electronic and mechanical projects as well. I don't think that there is something fundamentally different between these different types of projects. May be they have different workflows.
