How can i modify the mainpage?

Hi all together,

i just set up redmine on my server but i would like to know how to modify the mainpage?
Atm there are only the latest projects shown in a blue box nothing else.
I would like to create more content on the mainpage e.g. short info about redmine or link to my project's homepage.

I hope someone can help me :)

you can set mainpage content in Administration -> Settings -> General -> Welcome text
There are also some plugins to extend the main page
