Greetings,
I'm wondering if it is possible to track non-it assets and manage recurring tasks. This is a cross post over @ otrs - itsm, so forgive if it's redundant. We are looking for a reminder to show up on a calendar or todo list.. I imagine ical import/export would accomplish this.

For example:

Exhaust Hood -
Tasks:
1. filters need cleaned every month
2. motor needs replaced every X yrs
3. belt for motor needs replaced every 6 months
Asset Info:
1. Motor has parts/labor warranty for Y years.
Historical record:
1. last cleaned filters on xx date
2. last changed belt on xx date

I notice that there is a 'Periodic Task' plugin: http://www.redmine.org/plugins/periodictasks
and an Asset Mgmt plugin: http://www.redmine.org/projects/redmine/wiki/Plugin_List#Asset-Management-Plugin

I wonder if these together would be what I'm after.

I understand that recurring tasks are not projects, and that maybe I am asking the program accomplish something that it doesn't intend.

Any information is welcome... on that note, I have tried CalemEAM.. so far no one has grown fond of using it.. even though I think I could warm up to it.
