Status and Priority localization stuck in different language
Added by Yohan Bienvenue over 12 years ago
While playing around with Redmine's configuration after installing it today, I tried changing the default language to French to verified that it worked. I also tried changing the language for specific users.
After this, I set everything back to English. However now some parts of the UI are stuck in French. Like for instance the Status and Priority values. I tried deleting the entire project and creating a new one, but the problem persists.
See attached screenshot
How can I force/change these values back to English?
Thanks

Let me know if you figure this out. We have similar issues. I understand that Redmine cannot translate things "automatically", but it'd be nice if a) all pre-loaded values were multi-lingual-aware, and b) when adding custom fields/values, there would be a language indicator and slot to fill in multi-lingual values.

We're using 1.3.2 and this plugin works very nicely:

Thanks for letting me know about this plugin, I didn't really search for a fix since we're also looking at various other solutions (e.g. Mantis, Trac) right now.
The redmine version is 2.0 and this plugin is not compatible with it. Tried it anyway but it fails with errors.
But I'll keep a eye on it, maybe Emilio will update it in the future.

I had the same problem.
In the database -> table: issue_statuses were hardcoded french strings!
This happened in the installation process. You can edit the entries manually quickly.
Tables involved:
- trackers
- issue_statuses
- enumerations
If you need the correct translations then search inside the corresponding yml file in the languages folder.
