Redmine 1.3.2 in Ubuntu 12.04 - Secure enough?

Hi there,

I installed an Ubuntu 12.04 with LTS on a machine. This ubuntu version comes with Redmine v. 1.3.2.
I am not sure if an installation of the current Redmine v. 2.2.2 will cause any inconsistencies in the installed Ubuntu version (which might not be covered by the long term support).
Thus, my question: Is it still OK to run the 1.3.2 version, or do you advise against it under all circumstances?

AFAIK, 1.3.2 is OK except for the rails versions bundled...
Did you already install it? If so, please post the output of rails -v...
