Can't log with redmine on tomcat

Hi All,
i've successful installed redmine 2.3.1 (production environment) on tomcat 7 with jruby 1.7.4 (1.9.3p392).
I'm modifying pdf.rb file for my purpose and i have some problem when i load redmine, on browser I get Internal error. On tomcat log i don't see any error message and i cound't find any other log file. Can anyone help me how can set properly the log configuration?

Anyone can help me how to enable error log on tomcat?
