Custom Queries - I want to have the Issues page, default to one of my Custom Queries

I've searched the wiki and the forums: but can find no discussion on how to set a default custom query, in the Issues page.

Users have to click twice when going to issues

click on 'Issues'
click on the Custom query they want.

Am I missing something stupid - is this already a setting somewhere?

If not - is there enough interest to add it as a feature request?

The Default queries per project plugin does exactly this. This ability has also been requested as new feature, see #3967.
