How can I promote feature requests?
Added by Erlend ter Maat about 11 years ago
Hi,
Is there a way to promote feature requests to be included in a next release? Some kind of voting system?
Some issues that describe features I would use if they would exist, but the age is 8 years.
How can I bring such issues on the radar of the developers?
Regards,
Erlend

You may want to write comments in the issue...

You suggest that I put the text "bumb" every month to give the ticket more priority?
I'm sure that there is a structured way to get issues in the development cycle for the next release?

Indeed - putting comments is not effective and just increases the workload to process/read the issues for each dev.
A survey / poll for the next major release or next long term scheduled feature release is much more effective - especially because devs and users have (often) big differences, which features are important and mich not.
A poll should help finding more important features to reduce the workload and better manage/plan the development. So the last descision still belongs to the maintainer(s).
What do the maintainers think about that?
