Feature Comparison - or why should I upgrade from 1.3.2 to latest release?
Added by Alex Tinsley over 10 years ago
I've been running 1.3.2 (stable)stock installation with no issues. I have over 100+ users on my system and I don't want to touch it if I don't have to.
I need to install a watchers plugin but before I do, I'd like to know what's the advantage (if there is any) to upgrading to 2.x. I didn't see a feature comparison between 1.3 and 2.x, I went back a year on the forum looking for posts discussing it and didn't find anything that would answer my question.
I ran the demo for 2.5 (latest version) and the project settings appear to be the same except forum now sub-forum features. Are the watcher features enhanced at all in the admin panel in the stock installation of 2.5+ or do I still need to install a plug-in to allow for better watcher control? If that's the case, I'll just stick with my 1.3.2 installation.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Read the "News" section and also take a look at the Roadmap to find out what has been implemented / changed.

Security_Advisories - and because it is no longer supported :-)
