Upgrade Redmine from 2.4.0.stable to The Latest Stable Release
Added by Jo V about 9 years ago
Hi
I am not an expert on REDMINE. Even then I have managed to setup the REDMINE for my company using the different procedures found on different forums. My current environment is as follows:
Environment:
Operating System Centos 6.5 64bit
Redmine version 2.4.0.stable
Ruby version 2.1.0-p0 (2013-12-25) [x86_64-linux]
Rails version 3.2.15
Environment production
Database adapter MySQL
SCM:
Subversion 1.6.11
Git 1.7.1
Filesystem
Redmine plugins:
no plugin installed
I would like to get a working procedure to upgrade my current REDMINE to the latest stable version available.
I would greatly appreciate any assistance from the experts in this forum on this.
Regards
JJohn

Hello John,
you can definitely use Redmine Upgrade and Installation Wizard as presented here:
https://www.easyredmine.com/resources/installation/custom-installation
It is step-by-step Redmine Upgrader and Installer.
It is 100% Free and Open Source.
I believe it will be helpful.
Sincerely, Ondrej

Hello Ondrej,
I tried to test your Wizard for install and upgrade.
Install from scratch is pretty good.
Upgrade from 2.x trunk failed. The reason I believe that you must upgrade also ruby, rails, passenger and all the stuff.
