Redmine performance on MyRocks, MySQL with RocksDB
Added by Kirill Vechera almost 8 years ago
Hi there
We measured the performance of Redmine on MyRocks, Facebook’s build of MySQL, with RocksDB as a storage engine and compared it with the performance of other servers (original MySQL 5.6 and MariaDB 10.1) using InnoDB as the storage engine.
Really impressive results - 20% at the minimum load to up to 3 times at the maximum.
I've assembled our benchmarking results and some analysis into the article: http://jetware.org/blog/redmine-performance-on-myrocks
And yes, we switched to MyRocks three weeks ago. At the moment, with no problem.

We are looking to improve our Redmine's performance and I found your article. I created the account on Redmine.org just to ask for opinions/experiences about it and then found this thread.
Very interesting and very promising. We have the same version 3.3.1 as yours, although our Ruby version is 2.1.3-p242. Glad to know that you switched with no problems.
