How to disable individual notification mails

Hi!
We are uprgrade our redmine to 4.0.2.stable.
In our company ~80 employees.
We use gmail for mail notifications.
After upgrade mail traffic increased significantly, because of individual notification.
And now error from gmail "550: 550 5.4.5 Daily user sending quota exceeded".

How I can disable individual notification mails?

I think there is no quick way to disable the feature implemented by #26791. Maybe the simplest solution is to use some email delivery service such as SendGrid and Amazon SES.
