Use redmine Online

I've recently installed redmine 4.0.4 in my job, the qestion is, can I publicate it on our public IP? How can I do it? I'm looking for information about, but can't find any.

What are the best practice (Security reasons)?
- two redmine instances and one database
or
- syncronize two databases
