How copy/paste an image in a message
Added by anos dieblo almost 3 years ago
Hello,
I'm using Redmine every day at work to declare anomalies.
It's not confortable to show the problem by uploading a screenshot from the computer (we have to save a picture and upload it on redmine)
Do you know if there is a solution about it ? Like in outlook when when we can just copy and paste a captur of screen.
Thansk you

Hi, there's a plugin for that at https://www.redmine.org/plugins/clipboard_image_paste
Michael from https://www.redmine-x.com/

FWIW and FYI:

That plugin is not compatible with the currently supported Redmine versions (i.e. 4.2.x and 5.0.x). It's compatible only up to Redmine 3.4.x.
More importantly: most of the plugin functionality has already been integrated within Redmine 4.1.x via #3816.
From Redmine 4.1.0 released:
Allow pasting screenshots from clipboard (#3816 contributed by Takenori TAKAKI)
You can now paste image data from your clipboard when editing formatted text, eg. using CTRL+V. That will automatically upload the image as an attachment and append the appriorate tag in the text in order to display the image inline. No more need to save your screenshot as a file before uploading it to Redmine.
Note that you can also drag and drop an image file into the textarea to get the same result.
