Blocked By ... Version

Is it possible to do a 'blocked by' version on issue relations?
For example, we have a redmine project for software R&D then another project for each contract we have. In the contract i have a 'delivery' version with a due date which has a 'Software R&D' issue attached to it. In that issue i'd like to say it is blocked by a whole version from another project (ie release 2) rather than a whole load of seperate issues.
