Redmine Upgrade to 1.0.1

Hi All,

I have my redmine 0.8.3 version and need to upgrade to 1.0.1 version.
Is it required to upgrade from 0.8.3 to 0.9.x and then 0.9.x to 1.0.1.
Request your suggestions/steps to followed...
