I want to set default view for Repository browser to "View" instead of "History"

I cannot find an option to do this either from a user (in my account preferences) or from the admin side of things (configuring a repository is pretty minimal - selecting SCM and specifying path). Is this something that I have missed or is there a plugin that I can install that would do this for me? History is nice to have, but I like to browse my code and only look at history when I really need to.

I ended up finding where this is handled in the template code and I'm guessing by what I am seeing here this is not configurable. Hopefully I am wrong, I do not want to have to maintain a fork of Redmine for something this trivial.

Is there a plugin that can do this? :)

Yes.

You could make a plugin with just the corrected view in it (views in plugins supersede the core ones), but you'd still have to update it each time it's updated in core.
