403 Forbidden when browsing SCM repository (JRun Servelet Error)
Added by Robert Gill about 14 years ago
I've used Subversion for a while and I ran into this when using Redmine to browse the Subversion repository. It wouldn't happen all the time, only with certain files. It wasn't that important to me, so I paid it no mind. I recently switched to Git and found that I had the same problem. Paying closer attention, I found that it only seems to happen with ActionScript files (*.as). I think it may be a bug, but I'm posting here before I report it just in case I have a configuration error somewhere.

Make sure your webserver doesn't understand calls to such links as having to interpret something (for example: most apache servers will call the php interpreter when trying to view a php file in redmine rather than the request getting passed to redmine).
