Hello everybody I want to try configure Ldap to my bitnami redmine but i couldn`t success. nearly one week I work on it.:(
my server windows server 2003 sp2 and we use bitnami redmine 1.0.2.
My host name abc.net
one of organization unit name is Test.
Test OU have a lot of members about 30 person.
I want to only this persons (member of test OU) login to redmine via our windows login pass. and redmine should take personal information mail etc. from active directory.
I configured LDAP setting in administration>LDAP Authentication window. Could I configure anything else? really i don`t know.
I attached my configure window.see below.

The following configuration works fine for me ... it just lacks of a special user group access. The number of users redmine shows in your second screenshot is the number of LDAP users who logged into redmine and created an account...

Thanks Martin.
I configured
BS DN: dc=abc,dc=net like yours. The other all settings same as yours.
test connection successful. I saw user still 0. and then I tried login redmine as one in Active directory.
but I take " invalid user or password" error. :(
Can you tell me your redmine version?
Do you have any organization units?
and Could I configure anything else?

If you get the "invalid user or password" error, after getting a "connection found" or something message when you click on "test" in the LDAP configuration, then you misconfigured something. I didn't configured any OU, because all AD users should have access to our redmine - but we have multiple OU structures in the AD anyway. If your LDAP access is still not working with the given example - you should check the AD entries and structure with an LDAP browser.
Addition: Don't try to login with an AD account that already exists in redmine as a normal account.
e.g. you have a Redmine user johnDoe and try to login with LDAP user johnDoe won't work.
PS: We're currently using redmine 1.01
