incoming emails not being truncated

Added by Grant McEwan almost 11 years ago

hi guys,
I am using the imap mail box checker to check a mail box for incoming issues.
If i reply to the issue in HTML, the whole email gets included into the ticket, ie, the reply, signature + the previous message etc... rather than just the expected reply.

I have the --- Please reply ABOVE THIS LINE to respond to this issue --- setting in the email heading, and in the incoming emails address i truncate after seeing that line.

Am i just going about this wrong? or should i turn off sending the email in HTML?

I am having the same problem here; no idea how to get this solved....

How do other people get this to work for them? Especially as different users use different ''formats'' for replying to a mail.

Hi Arno,

I used someone's script that explicitly looked for the reply message from thunderbird. which is what we use.

I'll see if i can find it again and post it for you.
