Configuring redmine to acess git repositories locally

Hi folks,

I host a git service (gitolite) in the same machine where my redmine is, and I'm facing a hard time to make redmine acess a repository without having to clone it locally. I saw a few threads with the same problem, but so far I was unable to make this work.

Does any one successfully configured your redmine in this manner? Could someone provide me a step-by-step so I can reproduce it?

You need to point Redmine to the repo or possibly the .git directory in it. The only problems you might be running into are permission problems, i.e. the user your Redmine runs as can't access the git repositories handled by gitolite.
