Redmine Startscript for Ubuntu
Added by flow dee over 13 years ago
hello all,
I successfully installed redmine on a ubuntu vserver with the following howto: http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Baustelle/Redmine
After typing "sudo ruby script/server -e production" to the terminal I was able to login and setup my redmine. But when closing the terminal redmine shuts down.
Now my problem: How can I setup redmine to be started with server boot? Is this the so called "Apache integration" of the howtos?

I am pretty sure you will want to setup Apache to serve the redmine pages. That is what I have done, don't rely on ruby scripts to serve your pages for you, although you will be utilizing ruby from within your apache configuration.
I have a running redmine, but can't get my repository working correctly. I would be interested in your configuration if you are able to access your repository from outside of redmine (and what type of SCM you are using). My issue is at: http://www.redmine.org/boards/2/topics/26710
I hope I helped some. Yes, you need to run redmine with Apache.
