Test email failed error message - can anyone help?

I am currently using Redmine version 1.2.1.stable.6317. When I attempt to send a test email in the Settings area, I get the following error message:

"An error occurred while sending mail (530 5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command first. 3sm13106213pbx.14)"

Does anyone know what I can do to attempt to fix this? Thank you.

Try to google for the error message.

That error indicates you have not enabled SSL in your connection to the SMTP server where the server requires SSL-connections.
