Repository Auto Update/Fetch

Added by Stephen Damm over 12 years ago

We are very excited about setting up RedMine for a new business. We have already added a few of our projects into the site. It has been a simple breeze so far to get everything rolling. There is just one problem we have not been able to solve.

We would like the bare GIT repositories we checkout in a special place for redmine to be auto updated.

Every response to question we can google up or find on Redmine FAQ appears to be for older redmine or just plainly doesn't work.

Before I say anymore can someone outline the exact steps we should follow to get this to work. All we ever see in a project is the commit on the day the bare project was checked out for redmine.

We have AutoFetch set to enabled:
http://www.redmine.org/projects/redmine/wiki/RedmineSettings#Autofetch-commits

This appears to do absolutely nothing.

Followed the instruction here for using a REST request via WS to ask for the repo update:
http://www.redmine.org/projects/redmine/wiki/HowTo_setup_automatic_refresh_of_repositories_in_Redmine_on_commit

This also appears to do nothing. We can access the URL like it suggests and have post commit scripts trying to wget to it. This does nothing.

Any advice?
