redmine in apache

Can someone point me to docs on how to get redmine running through apache instead of WEBrick? Preferably with hints how to get a virtual server going.

Not sure what you means, but if it's running through mod_ruby, that's a very bad idea. Prefer mongrel_cluster and use Apache reverse_proxy capability to serve it as you need. The howto you need is here
