Occasional Error 310 (net::ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS): There were too many redirects.

Added by Jack Timmons over 12 years ago

After 2.0 came out I installed a fresh version of it on my server. One thing I noticed is that I will occasionally get:

http://pastebin.com/uaraFWqD

(Put on pastebin so the crazy long URL doesn't bomb the display).

I'm running Redmine through Apache/Passenger on CentOS.

Environment:
  Redmine version 2.0.4.stable.10431
  Ruby version 1.8.7 (x86_64-linux)
  Rails version 3.2.6
  Environment production
  Database adapter MySQL
Redmine plugins:
  redmine_mylyn_connector 2.8.2.stable

I've tried seeing if apache is causing the problem, but I can't see why. There's nothing special about the server configuration.

Any help would be appreciated!

Seems like it might have been an issue with Apache Options. Thanks!

What I originally thought was an apache configuration turned out false, since the redirecting showed up again. Now I'm thinking it might be something with passenger.

When the redirecting is first noticed, people who are logged in don't have any problems, but people who aren't have the loop shown above. If I'm logged in and I log out, the looping begins.

Ultimately we decided to switch to Fogbugz for now. Redmine is a great product and I'll keep recommending it, but I don't have the time to troubleshoot the issue.

Thanks for your hard work!
