Upgrade / Update Redmine Installation in Debian

I followed these instructions on installing Redmine on Debian:
http://www.redmine.org/projects/redmine/wiki/Download

However, according to the Administration -> Information display, I have installed v1.0.1.stable.

How can I upgrade to v2.1, or how do I uninstall the current installation of Redmine so that I can install the latest stable version?

Almost the same issue with updating from 1.4.1 -> 2.1.2 — I see in Administration -> Information display, 1.4.4 version. Everything has been done like in http://www.redmine.org/projects/redmine/wiki/RedmineUpgrade via svn update.
