How to install Redmine plugins newbie
Added by Michael Powell over 12 years ago
Hello,
I am a newbie to Redmine and to Linux. I need to know where the paths are to find stuff, add plugins, and so forth. Would someone point me in the right direction?
Specifically, I am installing the Redmine Release Notes 1.1.1 plugin for Redmine 1.4.4 in Linux Mint.
As far as I know installation went without a hitch, but it's like blind leading blind; I held on by the seat of my britches if you will.
Thank you...
Regards,
Michael

It depends on how and where you installed redmine, look here:
http://www.redmine.org/projects/redmine/wiki/Plugins
If that doesn't help, report back and I'll try to help you individually.

Okay I think I got 'er going. Found where Redmine installed: /usr/shared/redmine. I copied the plugin and did the rake command. It's a new database, didn't back it up first but could have. I see the plugin in the Administration > Plugins list. Have some issues with the plugin itself, but that's beyond this scope I think. Thanks!
