Query to list all items closed by users in a group

I am not clear on how Redmine manages the history on issues. I would like to create a query that lists all tickets in a project that was closed by users in a group.

Please help.

Unfortunately, that is only possible using SQL in the DB itself.

That said, edit the issue and set status to closed. Non-brainer.

I understand that it has to be a DB query. However, I am not sure where redmine maintains the history of the changes made on the issue. That would be necessary to find who closed the ticket
