Email configuration help

On testing, I am getting the message:

An error occurred while sending mail (504 5.7.4 Unrecognized authentication type. )

The auth type is set to :login - any ideas? Could this message really refer to some other problem?

Nevermind - I found the "HowTo" that suggested commenting out the last four parameters for MS Exchange, and now it works. Sorry, I had searched before and just didn't see it the first time.
