[SCM] Restrict commit access to trunk/branches/tags

Hi,

is there any way to use the roles and permissions in redmine to restrict commit access further?
This would be useful to enable only certain user commit access to the trunk of the project, which should always be stable, whereas others would have to branch and request a merge into the main trunk.
I'm thinking of something similar to the role management in Gitlab.

No, there isn't.

Check out this plugin:

It hasn't been updated for a while, though. I don't know if there is a branch of it somewhere. But you may want to start your own, it's open source.
