startup error (Internal error)
Added by Jiří Losert over 11 years ago
Hello,
I installed Redmine 2.3.2 by installing BitNami. The installation went without problems. When I run Redmine appears this error:
"Internal error
An error occurred on the page you were trying to access.
If you continue to experience problems please contact your Redmine administrator for assistance.
If you are the Redmine administrator, check your log files for details about the error."
She became someone similar bug? Can anyone advise me how to fix it?

Hi,
I had the same problem after setup and i turned out there is a problem using unicode characters in the default admin user name. My last name contains a Swedish "ö" which caused the scripts to crash when creating the database. There was no error message on installation.
It was fixed by removal of the unicode character from the file ...\apps\redmine\htdocs\db\migrate\007_setup.rb.
After that I executed the ...\apps\redmine\scripts\redmineini.bat with admin privileges.
This happened on a windows Server 2008 R2.

I had that same issue now:
but the unicode character was in the "Real Name" field (as I write my real name with 'á'), not in the user name - then the database tables didn't created...
Amazing.
