Adding email facility on the redmien plugin

hi,
can anybody tell me how to add the eamil option on the plugin, I'm building my own plugin and wanna to add the facility to intimate the users about the progress via email.

I actually don't code with RoR. You may want to try to ask on the plugin part of the forum ...
