How to make tickets visible for watchers/observers?

Hi!

I am using redmine since several months for all tasks/requests our team is getting from (internal) clients within our company. I am working in an IT-Department in a Hospital (we are doing no software development, it's more about business processes, customizing, reporting).

Now I am looking for a possibility to make tasks visible to the specific requestor. My idea would be to have the requestor register as redmine-user and then add the requestor as "watcher". The role would be as "viewer" with only access to tickets where the requestor has been added as watcher/observer. This is quite similar to the existing functionality to make only tickets assigned to a user visible for him/her.

Is there a possibility in redmine to make - so to speak - tickets visible on a workflow base, i.e. all persons involved in workflow can view the tickets?

Any ideas appreciated.

I did some research on that: https://github.com/maxrossello/redmine_extended_watchers
this plugin provides exactly the desired functionality.
