redmine - ubuntu - incoming email

I attempted to setup the incoming email processing using postfix.
as per directions i have /etc/aliases -
cs-consulting: "|/usr/share/redmine_aj/extra/mail_handler/rdm-mailhandler.rb --url https://coralsprings-ubuntu.dimins.com/redmine_aj/ --key apassswrod"
i have run newaliases.
when i send an email to cs-consulting locally from ubuntu nothing happens.
How do i debug this?
i got it to work by restarting postfix.
Now on to the next step
