Migrate redmine db from version 2.2.0 to 2.4.2

I have in my server Redmine 2.2.0 but I have to migrate to another server in which I would like to install the latest version (2.4.2), can I backup the 2.2.0 DB and load it into 2.4.2 installation?

I can confirm that migrating from 2.2.0 to 2.4.2 works without problems.
