Possible for non-users to get email responses to their helpdesk tickets?

Hi
I want people to get a response when helpdesk requests are sent via email, even when they are not a registered user.
I've used the CRM plugin but doesn't allow me to add the anonymous user as a watcher by default, and anonymous_watchers/author plugin does not work with redmine 2.4.x or 2.5.x

anyone have a method that would allow inhouse staff to reply to tickets generated by anonymous, and for those people to get the response via email? (i don't want to create an account for those people)

I guess that's what the "anonymous watchers" plugin is for, although I never used it.

It seems there is version of "anonymous watchers" workable till Redmine 2.4.X
Under 2.5 I got a 404 when trying the plugin.
Error Message is
Missing template, responding with 404
