CI Plugin with Husdon

Added by Eamonn O'Connell over 16 years ago

Congrats to the developers on a great product. It is just what I needed. I'm really looking forward to the GIT integration in the next release.

Currently I've been playing with the CI Plugin. It is not a necessity, but it would be nice for redmine to pull the info published by Hudson.
I followed the install instructions, and it all seemed to go to plan until I tried to view the contents of the integration tab. It gave me an invalid feed error.

Has anyone tried using the CI Plugin with Hudson?

Would anyone know why I'm getting that error?

Hum... I beg your pardon but... What is Hudson? Hudson Hawk the thief? :)

Hudson is a CI server written in Java that seems to be growing in popularity.

You can find it here: https://hudson.dev.java.net/

It is lightweight and easy to use. Very much like redmine in that way. It has plugins to integrate with various scms like perforce, git, and of course svn (as standard).

As far as I can recall there is not much setup work involved. You can download a war and deploy to a server like Tomcat. Certainly worth a look...

I have tweaked the simple_ci plugin so that it works with hudson. take a look here : http://projects.kaare-nilsen.com/simple_ci/show/1

The plugin should be unchaged in functionality, so if I can figure out where to add patches, I will send in that patch.

Kaare,

Nice work. I don't know anything about where to send patches but I would like to get my hands on your ammended version of the plugin...

Also, that link you gave as an example of it working brought me to a page looking for authentication.
