Database Migration 0.8 to 2.5

Hi,
I have redmine 0.8 and I have a new server machine with installe redmine 2.5.

I have a new Redmine installation, I don't need upgrade my old version.
How can import only my old database?

I noticed that there are many differences between the two databases. There are some tools that I can use?

It is a big leap From 0.8 to 2.5.0 and will be difficult to do it. You may try step by step: 0.8 -> 1.0 -> 1.3 -> 1.4 -> 2.0 .... etc. This could be big effort however. The things are worse if you have plugins. They are different for different versions. Also, take in account Ruby on rails versions. Newer versions of Redmine use newer versions of Ruby on Rails.

The better way is to make upgrades when new versions arrive in time... Why not try to use both Redmine's? The old one read-only and to start from zero new instance from 2.6.0 (it depends on how many data is stored in the old one).
