table in a wiki page

Does the syntax for a table work in the wiki pages?
Here is the syntax that I am trying. {| width="600" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="1" border="1" |- | | |- | | |- | | |}

Normal html syntaxe works fine, like : 

<table><tr><th>[...]</th></tr><tr><td>[...]</td></tr>><tr>[...]</tr></table>

I have tried it 5 minutes ago, that works... but the only thing is that I can't suppress the cells border line... :-(
