Can't Update Issues

Added by Derek Thomas over 8 years ago

This error isn't 100% accurate, we can update an issue as long as nothing is changed. We're running an older version of redmine (2.5.3), we did a mysql update to the server last night (5.5 -> 5.6) which broke redmine. I'm not super familiar with the backend of redmine in the server but I have used it to issue tickets for the last two years.

I was able to get it somewhat working again by running 'bundle install mysql2' and 'bundle update' from within the root directory of redmine. Now we are able to login to redmine but are unable to make any changes. I would like to upgrade to a newer version to see if this will resolve the issue. I followed the steps in the upgrade guide, but I can't get webrick to work.

We're using Apache 2.4.18 and Phusion Passenger 5.0.26 on Centos 6.8

Any help would be greatly appreciated so we can get the guys working again. Thank you.

I couldn't get the older version of Redmine to work but I did manage to get the new one going. I backed up the old version and moved the new version into the folder of the last installation, this allowed the login page to display. From there, I added an .htaccess file which wasn't mentioned in the upgrade instructions.

From there I upgraded the old theme and everything ran like a champ. Hope this helps anyone who runs into a similar issue.
