Segmentation fault

Added by Nicklas Holm over 15 years ago

Hi,

I'm running Redmine using a Mongrel Service in a Windows Environment.

  • Ruby 1.8.6 (2007-09-24 patchlevel 111) [i386-mswin32]
  • RubyGems 1.3.1
  • Rails 2.2.2
  • Rake 0.8.3
  • Mongrel 1.1.5
  • MySQL 5.0

After some idle time (always over night) I'm no longer able to access my Redmine site and I find this in my Mongrel log:

c:/ruby/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/activerecord-2.2.2/lib/active_record/connection_adapters/mysql_adapter.rb:548: [BUG] Segmentation fault

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

Hello.

I have a similar problem.
Every morning the first request to Redmine stops it with error:

C:/Program Files/Redmine/redmine-0.8.1/vendor/rails/activerecord/lib/active_record/connection_adapters/mysql_adapter.rb:527: [BUG] Segmentation fault
ruby 1.8.6 (2008-08-11) [i386-mswin32]

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

My configuration:
MS Windows XP Pro
ruby 1.8.6 (2008-08-11) [i386-mswin32]
RubyGems 1.3.3
Rails 2.2.2
MySQL 5.0
Redmine 0.8.1
And two plugins from Scrumalliance:
redmine_burndown
redmine_task_board

I suspect plugins of this incident because originaly (before instalation the plugins) Redmine forked nonstop without errors.

I'm also having this problem. Does anyone have a solution. I'm running MYSQL 5.0 on Windows. No plugins.

It seems like the common theme here is MySQL on Windows. Could someone test the same version of Redmine with another database adapter, like SQLite or PostgreSQL?

I don't have any plugins either.

I have the same problem, after long time of inactivity(8hrs+), RedMine stop responding, so for now I scheduled a task to restart our WebRick 3AM every morning.

net start/stop Service_Name

I know it is a temporary fix & working for me.
