upgrade from 0.5.1 to 0.6.4 / 0.7

Hello !

We are running RM v0.5.1 ... with lot of projects.

Short question: Whats the best way to upgrade our running installation?

Hello.

Erm... What about following the official Redmine Guide? :). Don't forget to make a safe copy of your database and your files/ directory (eventually copy your config/database.yml and config/environment.rb files).

My question was a too subtile one ... and as the other thread shows, my assumption was right that there might some database-related problems.

There are no estimated problems when upgrading over some versions?

Since migrations are incremental, there shouldn't be any problem, by design.

Maybe ... under http://www.redmine.org/wiki/redmine/RedmineUpgrade -> Upgrading from a downloaded release -> 4.
... a mention of doing the rake db:migrate - command in the new download-directory would be fine.
