RubyEncoder not installed even though its in the file
Added by James Attard about 6 years ago
Hello everyone,
I had na android box laying around and so yesterday i tried to convert it to a seever for redmine. The platform has an S912 processor and I managed to successfully install Armbian. (In the name of the image installed it said Ubuntu bionic)
Now I installed redmine on the server by using some instructions I found online and I managed to make it work and see login to redmine from my browser. So until then no problems as all.
Then I tried to install the redmine plugins from my bitnami installation on my PC to the server i just created but when I do migrate it is telling me that RubyEncoder is not installed and I need to download from RubyEncoder website. Now i have downloaded ALL the loaders from RubyEncoder website and placed in a folder rgloader in the plugins directory but to no avail.
Can it be tjat Ruby Encoder is not supported on my platform? thanks for your help.

Probably you have installed some paid plugins that source code is encrypted by RubyEncoder. I recommend you to contact the vendor of such plugins.

Thnaks for your quick resply. I have some plugins like Easy Gantt and Easy WBS which some vendors have as paid versions. I will start by just removing them and install plugins one by one. Will let you know how it goes.

Hi.
I have a similar problem (when install usability plugin http://rmplus.pro/redmine/plugins/usability in redmine 4.0).
Did you manage to solve it?

Hi Evgeniy,
Basically the problem was because the platform that I was using is not supported by RubyEncoder. So I removed Usability plugin and some other plugins provided by RM plus and it worked. I didn't get in contact with them though.
