RE: Posting of new message in forum - SOLVED

Added by Jutta Buschbom over 2 years ago

Hi,

I would like to post to this forum with an installation question. However, I can't submit a new message since the system returns "422 This request was denied because it was considered spam or your IP adress (80.142.191.17) is temporarily blocked." Changing my IP didn't solve the problem. Do you know what causes the problem and how to solve it?

Best wishes,

Jutta

Retrying to submit my Redmine installation post, the forum still doesn't accept the message this morning. Wondering if I had too many special characters in it, I removed all the "@", which I had used for formatting, this didn't help either. Changes in IP address provide no solution, too. I still get the error message when I press "Create". Short messages like this one are accepted, however, leaving out the details likely isn't sensible when troubleshooting "Redmine installation: web interface missing CSS and/or permission denied". I have used Redmine before and really would like to get it to work, please let me know how to proceed.

Best wishes,
Jutta

Apparently, I can submit here. However, when I submit the actual message to the Help forum, even with a changed subject line and the body reduced to two lines of text, the system responds with the error "This request was denied because it was considered spam or your IP adress (xxx) is temporarily blocked.". Again, I had changed the IP address of my computer before several of the submissions. Do these submission attempts appear in the forum logs?

Best wishes,

Jutta

Continuing troubleshooting, I reduced the subject line and text of a new message to a bare minimum of words that didn't appear in the actual inquiry. That worked, and continuing from there, I copy-pasted the text of the proper message half-sentence by sentence as edits to the message.

It turns out that the word "a s d f" (without spaces) is not accepted and returns the 422 error. Spelling it with spaces the edited message is accepted. I can then copy the rest of my actual installation inquiry and all of it is accepted, see the submission to the forum "Macos 12.5 installation: Web interface missing CSS and/or permission denied" from today, August 9 2022.

The forum might have a spam filter, which vocabulary needs to be adjusted.

Thank you for your patience & best wishes,

Jutta
