pdf export of articles with included elements

Added by Thilo Kiefert 7 months ago

Hi all,

I use the Redmine wiki as a kind of documentation system (let's call it 'main wiki'). Some of the articles I need for another documentation as well. That's why I added a subproject, created several pages and included the articles of the 'main wiki' using the function {{include(k-w-admin-wiki:XXX)}}. This works pretty well to show the pages in the sub wiki. If I export an article or all articles of the whole tree of the 'main wiki' to a pdf file all images are shown in the pdf file. If I export an article or the whole tree of the 'sub wiki' just the text is available in the pdf file, but not the images.

This is our environment:

Environment:
  Redmine version 5.1.2.stable
  Ruby version 3.1.2-p20 (2022-04-12) [x86_64-linux-gnu]
  Rails version 6.1.7.7
  Environment production
  Database adapter Mysql2
  Mailer queue                   ActiveJob::QueueAdapters::AsyncAdapter
  Mailer delivery smtp
Redmine settings:
  Redmine theme A1 (includes JavaScript)
SCM:
  Filesystem
Redmine plugins:
  additionals 3.1.0-main
  redmine_drawio 1.4.8
  redmine_kw_menu 0.1.0
  redmine_wiki_extensions 0.9.4

Is the above described behavior a bug or a feature?

Best regards
Thilo

Well, this is part of the core Redmine functionality - the Redmine wiki. Probably the support team of the Redmine.org will answer about this functionality. If it is a bug, they will fix it themselves.
