adding existing issues to newly created version

Added by Phil Guerin over 15 years ago

I have just created a version for a project that has been ongoing for a few months. There are a few hundred issues in the system, and would like to bulk assign all of them to the newly created version, but can't seem to figure out how to do this. I assume there has to be a way to do this, since manually re-assigning hundreds of issues to a new version seems like a problem that would have been overcome by now.

Any thoughts?

Also, when I created the version (the only version to be created in this system), it only shows up on the Roadmap if I select "Show completed versions". When I created the version, and there was no way to set it to complete/incomplete. If newly created versions are automatically set to complete, how exactly do you have incomplete versions?

Any information on how to manage versions would be greatly appreciated. I know what they are, and that they exist, and that they show up on the Roadmap, but that is all I have managed to find in the documentation.

On the issues list for the project, click the checkbox field on the left for each issue. Then right click on a selected issue to get the context menu. You can do bulk changes from there.

A version with open issues is considered to be incomplete, a version with only closed issues (or no issues) is considered complete. Since your new version doesn't have any issues yet, it's considered complete.
