Want sub project to inherit members from parent project

I would like my sub-projects to inherit members from the parent project. We develop open-source learning activities for kids and we want each discrete learning activity to be a disrete sub-project.

I found this code revision from January. I will try it out but I am worried it might cause unexpected consequences.

forget it, am just going to create a custom field

This would be a nice feature to have though
