accept issues via mail from anonymous on non-public project

Hi,

i'm currently struggling with incoming emails.
Incoming mails work perfect if they are sent from users registered in Redmine.
My plan is that also non registered users should be able to open a issue via Mail. This also works when te project is set to be 'public'.
It stops working as soon as it is no more public. Is there any way to get this working?

I'm using the latest svn Version

Some more info about my System:
Ruby 1.8
rails 2.3.4
Redminem: latest version from SVN
OS: Debian Lenny

I found in log the following error:

Completed in 10178ms (View: 1, DB: 61) | 422 Unprocessable Entity [http://*censoredhost*/mail_handler]

Any ideas?

I am having these issues as well. The email is coming from an anonymous user to a non-public project. I do have the unknown_user set to accept. I am also running from trunk (r2993).

Here is the error message I am getting:
422 Unprocessable Entity [https://my_redmine_host/mail_handler]
